Greeting from beautiful Madison, WI
We use change management to create change request records. The change request records spawn tasks. When all the tasks are completed, the change request should auto-close. Every once in awhile, the change request record remains open. I can create the same situation, and sometimes the change request record will close properly and sometimes it wont.
How can we debug this problem?. The coders tell me they can't put a trace on, since they can't tell when it will happen, the trace will be way too long, and detailed to be of any good.
The fact that the same situation creates a different outcome tells me it's environmental ( such as connection pooling, memory leaks) and not the code in the application. Is this a right conclusion on my part?
